Elite Precast Concrete is delighted to announce that its innovative ConBarr-TVCB® Vehicle Restraint Barrier has successfully completed independent crash testing to the stringent requirements of BS EN 1317, marking a significant milestone in the company's continued investment in road safety and infrastructure solutions.
BS EN 1317 sets out the performance requirements and test methods for road restraint systems used across Europe's highway networks, ensuring barriers are independently assessed for vehicle containment, occupant safety and impact performance.
Tested successfully by HORIBA MIRA to N2/W4 and N1/W2 when installed using the Elite Precast jointing system demonstrates that the Temporary Vertical Concrete Barrier meets the rigorous performance standards demanded by the highways industry, providing contractors, local authorities and infrastructure clients with a robust precast concrete vehicle restraint solution for temporary and permanent traffic management applications.
Designed and manufactured at Elite Precast Concrete's Shropshire production facilities, the ConBarr-TVCB® barrier combines the durability and resilience of precast concrete with rapid installation, making it ideal for motorway schemes, trunk roads, urban infrastructure projects, utility works and major construction sites.
