We are attending Harper Adams University Careers and Placement Fair on 11 November 2025. The event will provide the perfect platform for us to showcase our exciting Product Development Placement — a unique opportunity for engineering students to gain hands-on, practical experience with a leading precast concrete manufacturer.

As part of our continued commitment to supporting the next generation of engineering talent, Louise Chouhan-Hodges will represent the company at the event. Louise will be on hand to meet students, discuss career pathways, and highlight the importance of innovation and sustainability in shaping the future of the construction and agricultural industries.

About the Product Development Placement
The Product Development Placement is an exceptional opportunity for a Harper Adams University engineering student to gain first-hand experience in the design, development, and delivery of innovative precast concrete solutions — particularly within the agricultural sector.

Based at our Telford headquarters, the successful candidate will work within a fast-paced, collaborative manufacturing environment, contributing to projects that span concept design, market analysis, production efficiency, and cost optimisation.

The placement also offers exposure to product trials, competitor benchmarking, and participation in industry exhibitions and training events, helping to build a well-rounded understanding of commercial product development.

Key aspects of the placement include:

  • Conducting market research and identifying new opportunities
  • Designing and developing practical, customer-focused solutions
  • Supporting innovation in new product development
  • Collaborating with operations and supply chain teams to streamline production
  • Gaining real-world insights into manufacturing processes and sustainability practices

This 52-week placement offers a wage remuneration and invaluable experience to help prepare students for successful careers in engineering, product design, or manufacturing management.
