About the Product Development Placement
The Product Development Placement offers an exceptional opportunity for a Harper Adams Engineering student to gain practical experience in the design, development, and delivery of new precast concrete products — particularly for the agricultural market.

Working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment at Elite’s Telford headquarters, the successful candidate will contribute to projects spanning concept design, market analysis, production efficiency, and cost optimisation. The role also includes exposure to product trials, competitor benchmarking, and participation in industry exhibitions and training events.

Key aspects of the placement include:

• Conducting market research and identifying new opportunities
• Designing and developing practical solutions for agricultural customers
• Supporting innovation in product range development
• Collaborating with operations and supply chain teams to streamline production
• Gaining real-world insights into commercial manufacturing and sustainability practices

The position runs for 52 weeks and offers minimum wage remuneration, providing invaluable experience to prepare for a successful career in engineering, product design, or manufacturing management.
