There are number of factors that need to be taken into account when considering how high you can safely build an interlocking block wall including the density of the materials being stored, ground conditions, wind loadings etc. We suggest a good first point of reference is our Stability and Lateral Loading examples download section.

The blocks are all cast from concrete which DOES NOT contain any recycled / waste materials or steel reinforcing and it is therefore Class A1 Fire Resistant in accordance with Clause 4.3.4.4 EN13369.Please refer to the Comprehensive Fire Protection and Safety with Concrete report for more information on the fire resilient characteristics of quality concrete.

The blocks have a minimum of design life of 100 years.

Yes – we have a large number of client’s who have specifically mentioned they are using our blocks when submitting their FPP to the Environment Agency.

Each block (Legato, Duo and Vee) has a fully tested cast in lifting point (either pin or bar) so you will just need a suitable machine with a chain and hook.

Yes – they have been used by many clients for constructing earth embankment retaining walls – they are quick to install and as they are built vertically they often require less excavation and take up less space than gabion baskets.

Elite Precast manufacture all precast concrete products to C50.

Elite Precast operate as a wholesale manufacturer with a lean model (few sales reps, large stockholding) so they can keep overheads low and pass savings to customers.

Yes — while many products are “off-the-shelf”, Elite Precast can modify existing units as well as bespoke precast concrete products.

Elite Precast Concrete hold ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001, as well as British Standards on products.

The Elite range includes interlocking blocks (for storage bays, retaining walls), ballast blocks / kentledge (counterweights), safety/security barriers, drainage and service protection products. Sectors include waste/recycling, construction, infrastructure, utilities.

Elite Precast offer full logistics capability, including rigid and flatbed artics, crane off-load, telehandler, compliant fleet (FORS, CLOCS etc) for UK delivery.

Elite interlocking blocks are said to be cast from concrete of 50 N/mm² (or similar high strength) with a design life of 100+ years.

Blocks are made from 100% natural materials (no recycled aggregates in certain lines), are fully recyclable at end-of-life, and manufactured with energy-efficient processes.

Special cover slabs are delivered within 2 – 3 weeks of approval, this includes curing times.

Yes, either 2.5 or 5 tonne lifting clutches are supplied depending on block size.

Elite Precast are open from 6.00 am to 4.00 pm for collections and ex-works.

Yes – Elite Precast will load all vehicles coming to collect goods, as long as they are suitable and it is safe to do so.

Both – Elite Precast have three factories where products are manufactured, using either a wetcast or semi-dry method of manufacture.

Yes, bespoke blocks can be manufactured depending upon requirements.

Yes, Legato®, Duo™ and various security barriers were supplied to HS2.

Yes, Retainer-Rock® and Vee-Rock® walling both have a cobblestone finish. Retainer-Rock® is available with a smooth Liscio finish.
