Utility and Pipe Protection Slabs for Data Centres
Engineered Protection for Critical Underground Infrastructure
Elite Precast Concrete’s utility and pipe protection slabs – also known as multipurpose slabs – are designed to deliver robust and reliable protection for underground services in UK data centre environments, ensuring no loss of data or delays through ground strikes.
Manufactured from 50N/mm² semi-dry concrete with heavy steel reinforcement, these slabs combine strength, durability, and ease of installation.

Features & Benefits
Comprehensive Protection
Shields essential underground services – including power cables, fibre networks, water pipes, and gas mains – against accidental damage from excavation and heavy groundworks.
Reinforced for Strength
Both slab faces are reinforced with heavy-duty mesh, ensuring maximum resilience and long-term security.
Fast, Safe Installation
Each unit includes integral cast-in, fully certified lifting points, making handling and installation efficient and safe.
Immediate Availability
Standard sizes are stocked and available for nationwide delivery, supporting fast-moving data centre construction programmes.
Versatile Applications
Provides reliable protection across a wide range of underground utility scenarios, including data, power, and cooling infrastructure.
Interlocking Design
Slabs connect securely to form a stable, rigid protective barrier, minimising ground movement risks.
